Cost & pricing · Brisbane northside

What a garage door repair costs — and how we get to the number.

We don't publish a price list, and we'd be wary of anyone who does before they've seen the door. What we can tell you is exactly how the price comes together, and that you'll have it in your hand before any work starts.

  • Inspected first, then priced
  • Parts and labour explained
  • No surprises on the invoice

What affects the price

Five things that set the cost of a repair.

  1. 01

    What has actually failed

A spring, a cable, a set of rollers, an opener board — each is a different part at a different price. That’s why we look before we quote.

  2. 02

    The door type and size

A double sectional door needs heavier springs than a single roller door. Parts are matched to the door, not sold by the bag.

  3. 03

    What else is worn

If the cables are frayed when the spring goes, replacing both now is cheaper than a second visit. You get told, and you decide.

  4. 04

Parts on the van or ordered

Common parts are on the van and fitted the same visit. Unusual parts are ordered — we’ll say so, with the price, before proceeding.

  5. 05

    Where you are

We work Brisbane’s northside. For jobs at the edge of that area we’ll say so on the phone, before we come — not on the invoice.

How pricing works

Inspect, explain, price — then you decide.

any work starts, you have the price

  • Both

repair and replace prices when it’s a genuine choice

  • None

    pressure to proceed

Every job follows the same order: we look at the door properly, explain what’s wrong and what it needs, and give you the price. Only then does any repair work begin. If you’d rather not proceed, that’s fine — there’s no pressure and no hard sell.

Repair first, replace when it’s honestly better.

Where the existing door or opener can reasonably be kept going, that's what we'll recommend, because it's almost always the cheaper path. When a replacement is genuinely the better option — a spring on a door that's rusted through, an opener with no parts available — we'll say so, with a price for both.

No unnecessary extras.

You'll hear what needs doing now, what might need doing later, and nothing you don't need. If a part is showing wear but is safe to leave, we'll tell you that too.

Small jobs are welcome.

A remote re-coded, an adjustment, a lock fixed — small jobs are priced as small jobs. Just ask.

How it works

Straightforward from the first call.

  1. 01

    Tell us what it’s doing

Call or send an enquiry. We'll ask how old the door is, what happened before the fault, and whether anything's been tried.

  2. 02

    We inspect it properly

The whole door system — not just the part that looks broken. Developing wear gets pointed out, not hidden.

  3. 03

    You get the price first

What's wrong, what needs doing now, what can wait. Then the price. No pressure to proceed.

  4. 04

    Fixed, often on the spot

If parts are on the van, the repair is usually done the same visit. If not, we return promptly — generally within a couple of days.
