Servicing & maintenance · Brisbane northside
A proper garage door service — the whole door, not a squirt of spray.
Balance, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, tracks, seals and the opener's settings, checked and adjusted in one visit. You get told what's wearing, what needs doing now and what can wait — so the next problem isn't a surprise at 7am.
- Roller, sectional & tilt doors
- Wear pointed out, not hidden
- Small fixes done on the spot

What a service covers
Twelve things we check on every door.
It's the same list every time, because the same things wear. Anything that needs adjusting gets adjusted; anything that needs replacing gets explained first.
01Door balance
Lifted by hand — the truest test of the springs.
02Springs
Tension, wear, corrosion and remaining life.
03Cables & drums
Fraying, seating and even lift.
04Rollers & hinges
Cracks, play, seized stems.
05Tracks & brackets
Alignment, fixings, bends.
06Lubrication
The right product on the right parts.
07Opener force & limits
So it stops where it should, when it should.
08Safety reverse
Does the door back off an obstruction?
09Remotes & wall button
Coding, range, batteries.
10Weather seals
Bottom and side seals — gaps, perishing.
11Locks & handles
Operation, alignment, keys.
12Panels or curtain
Damage, rust, wear at the guides.

01Garage door maintenance
What a service actually covers, what we adjust on the spot, and what we'll tell you about rather than quietly replace.

02Roller door service
Guides, curtain, spring tension and the drum — roller doors wear differently to sectionals and get serviced differently.

03How often should a garage door be serviced?
Depends on age, use and how it's been treated. A straight answer for the door you have, not a subscription pitch.

Why bother
Servicing finds the spring before the spring finds you.
Garage doors rarely fail without warning — they get heavier, noisier, slower, and the opener starts working harder. A service catches that early, while it's an adjustment rather than a replacement, and while you can plan the work instead of finding the car stuck inside.
We won't tell you a service prevents every breakdown; it doesn't. What it does is keep the door running safely and reliably, and give you an honest picture of what's wearing so nothing comes as a surprise.

Pricing
What does a garage door service cost?
A standard service is a set price for a standard residential door — we'll confirm it when you call. Anything beyond that (a worn spring, a set of rollers) is explained and priced before it's done, never added quietly.
Service pricingBetween services
If the door suddenly gets heavy, starts to shudder, or you hear a bang from the garage, stop using it and call — that's usually a spring, and it's not something to push through until the next service.
How it works
Straightforward from the first call.
- 01
Tell us what it’s doing
Call or send an enquiry. We'll ask how old the door is, what happened before the fault, and whether anything's been tried.
- 02
We inspect it properly
The whole door system — not just the part that looks broken. Developing wear gets pointed out, not hidden.
- 03
You get the price first
What's wrong, what needs doing now, what can wait. Then the price. No pressure to proceed.
- 04
Fixed, often on the spot
If parts are on the van, the repair is usually done the same visit. If not, we return promptly — generally within a couple of days.
Servicing — straight answers
Questions we get about servicing.
Can’t see yours? Ask on the phone — it’s usually a two-minute answer.
0408 190 595For a typical family home, every 12–18 months is a sensible rhythm; a door that's used a dozen times a day, or is 10–15+ years old, benefits from yearly. If it's already noisy, heavy or slow, don't wait for the schedule.
