Roller door service · Brisbane northside

Roller door service — guides, curtain, spring and drum.

Roller doors are simple, but they wear in their own way: guides dry out, curtains rub, spring tension drifts. A roller door service is built around those parts — not a sectional door checklist with the wrong bits crossed off.

  • Guides cleaned and lubricated
  • Spring tension checked
  • Curtain and drum inspected

What gets done

What a roller door service covers.

  1. 01

    Guides

Cleaned, checked for wear and corrosion, lubricated with the right product so the curtain runs freely.

  2. 02

    Curtain

Checked for creases, rust and wear at the edges; the bottom rail and weather strip inspected.

  3. 03

    Spring tension

The door lifted by hand and adjusted so it balances — the key to a roller door that doesn’t strain its opener.

  4. 04

    Drum and axle

Bearings and drum checked for play and wear.

  5. 05

    Opener

Force and limits re-set, safety reverse tested, remotes checked.

  6. 06

    Lock and handle

    Centre lock operation and alignment.

Why roller doors are different

Different parts, different wear.

  • Any age

    older rollers very much welcome

A roller door has no panels, hinges or rollers — its wear is in the guides, the curtain edges and the spring inside the drum. Servicing it means cleaning and lubricating the guides, checking the curtain, and getting the spring tension right so the door balances and the opener isn’t lifting more than it should.

Older Gliderol, B&D and Stratco rollers.

Most roller doors on established northside streets are 10–20+ years old and still perfectly serviceable. Regular servicing is what keeps them that way — and we've worked on the older generations for a long time.

How it works

Straightforward from the first call.

  1. 01

    Tell us what it’s doing

Call or send an enquiry. We'll ask how old the door is, what happened before the fault, and whether anything's been tried.

  2. 02

    We inspect it properly

The whole door system — not just the part that looks broken. Developing wear gets pointed out, not hidden.

  3. 03

    You get the price first

What's wrong, what needs doing now, what can wait. Then the price. No pressure to proceed.

  4. 04

    Fixed, often on the spot

If parts are on the van, the repair is usually done the same visit. If not, we return promptly — generally within a couple of days.

  • Similar to any garage door — roughly every 12–18 months for a typical home, yearly for older or heavily used doors. Sooner if it has become noisy or heavy.
