Door types
Roller, sectional and tilt — the three doors on almost every northside home.
Each fails in its own way, and each has parts that are still available for doors 10–15+ years old. We carry the common ones on the van.
01Roller door repairs
Curtain jammed, spring gone, door heavy or running off the drum. Older Gliderol and B&D rollers are bread and butter.
Common faults & fixes
02Sectional & panel-lift repairs
Torsion springs, cables, rollers, hinges and panel damage. The door that most commonly gets hit by a car.

03Tilt door repairs
One-piece doors on side pivots — spring tension, pivot arms and worn tracks. Still plenty of them on established streets.

What a repair visit looks like
Inspect the whole door, not just the bit that looks broken.
A garage door is one system — springs, cables, drums, rollers, hinges, tracks and the opener all share the load. When one part fails it usually has a reason, and a repair that ignores the reason doesn't last.
So a visit starts with the whole door: how it balances by hand, what the springs and cables look like, where the wear is. Then you get a straight explanation — what's wrong, what needs doing now, what can wait — and a price. If the parts are on the van, it's usually fixed on the spot.

Pricing
What does a garage door repair cost?
Pricing depends on the fault and the parts required. We inspect the door, explain what's needed and give you the price before proceeding — you're never held to a number set before anyone had looked at it.
How repair pricing worksOne thing to leave alone
Garage door springs and lifting cables are under a lot of tension, even on a door that's stopped moving. Please don't cut a cable, loosen a spring bracket, or lever a stuck door — a jammed door is an inconvenience, a released spring can be an injury. Lock the door if you can, and call.
How it works
Straightforward from the first call.
- 01
Tell us what it’s doing
Call or send an enquiry. We'll ask how old the door is, what happened before the fault, and whether anything's been tried.
- 02
We inspect it properly
The whole door system — not just the part that looks broken. Developing wear gets pointed out, not hidden.
- 03
You get the price first
What's wrong, what needs doing now, what can wait. Then the price. No pressure to proceed.
- 04
Fixed, often on the spot
If parts are on the van, the repair is usually done the same visit. If not, we return promptly — generally within a couple of days.
